Hazardous Materials
Chemistry

This intensive 24-hour hazmat chemistry course will bring the hazmat technician or specialist to the next level. Includes handouts, classroom exercises, and hands-on use with detection devices.

Meets NFPA Standards: NFPA 1072.7.2.1; NFPA 472.7.1.2 (1)(2)

Students will work in groups with gloves and goggles. There will be live chemicals in class — students receive a safety briefing before each use.
